As many of you have heard, our newspaper The Redvers Optimist is no more. But, that doesn’t mean we don’t have a news outlet! The Carlyle Observer has stepped in, and will be sending out reporters to cover our major events around town. They want you to know that you can still submit your hometown stories to them, whether it be a graduation, memorial, or a photo of the giant veggie that grew in your garden.
The Observer is available in Redvers for free in the newspaper boxes where you normally would find the Optimist. They are also going to set up even more newspaper boxes around town for easy access.
Kelly Running from the Observer stated: “Subscriptions are $40 to The Observer – tax included – and what we’ve done is actually transfer anyone who was subscribed to The Optimist over to The Observer, so they will continue to get Redvers news from the subscription they already had; the news will just be part of The Observer now instead. If they’d like to give us a call they are more than welcome to at 1.306.453.2525 or to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.”
Subscriptions are only required if you would like the paper delivered to your post office mailbox. Otherwise you can pick up a copy in any of the newspaper boxes around town for free.
