On August 23, 2018 we formally opened “Larsen Park” to honor the late Gloria Larsen’s memory. A special thanks to Axel Larsen who attended, representing the Larsen family. When Garry, Mayor of the Town of Redvers, first met Gloria and started working on Council, it didn’t take him long to realize how dedicated she was to the Town of Redvers. Gloria would always put Redvers first whether it was in her role as Mayor, driving the handivan or volunteering her time, and in return all she ever expected was a “thank-you”. Gloria was proud of this town and all people who called Redvers their home over the years. So on behalf of the Town of Redvers, this park is officially dedicated in Gloria’s name and her memory. Larsen Park is located at 6 Warren Street South and is open for use by the public.
A special thanks to the following:
Bedecs Ready Mix for donating the black dirt, landscaping and the cement work, Alain Gaudet for donating the brick and building the monument, and Sara Sutter for donating the trees and planting!
And last but not least, thank-you to everyone who came out to honor Gloria and her memory!
