The 2019 Redvers Business & Community Awards have been finalized! Congratulations to our three recipients!
Patricia Miller – Business Person of the Year
Patricia is the owner operator of Shear Images Salon and manager of Silver Lotus Boutique. When she purchased the store(s) she started opening on Saturday’s which encouraged others in the business community to do the same. The Annual Fashion Show serves the community bu having a fun night with entertainment, involving the community as models. The proceeds of this function are donated back to a worthy cause in the community. Silver Lotus’ advertising and promotions have great reach and are well received.
Michelle Jensen – Above & Beyond
Michelle is extremely hard working, she has made the library a hub of the community. Programming for all ages has been a massive hit, and people who have never utilized the library are now regular visitors. Aside from being an excellent librarian, she is well known and respected within the community. Many people go to her for help, whether for an opinion or for the power of her voice and her reach within the community. She is strong, wise, kind, and confident in everything she does. Michelle truly goes Above & Beyond for Redvers and in all aspects of her life in this community and she deserves to be recognized.
Tricia Pickard – Lifetime Achievement
Tricia started the Redvers Early Learning & Child Care Centres from the ground up, when child care was needed in Redvers. The RELCCC is still in existence today and is a prominent organization that offers employment to many. She also has helped create the Redvers Wildlife Archery Club and dedicates her time as a coach and oversees all aspects of running the club. She is a member of the Minor Ball Board, and also volunteers as a coach, as well as being one of the leading members of the Redvers Health Foundation Fundraising Committee. Tricia spends an overwhelming amount of time dedicating herself to many organizations in Redvers, making it a better place to live. She has a huge heart, is a driven leader, and gives so much of herself to everything she gets involved in. We are very fortunate that she has chosen to call Redvers home, and her time and effort put into the community are much appreciated.
